This week’s topic is Law and
Order.
This series is talking about the relationship between the police and
the prosecutors (檢察官), which the police represents the
order, and the prosecutors represent the law.
Actually, Law and Order is
not just a TV series. Law and Order
is a franchise. There are some subtitles following behind the Law and Order, such as UK, special
victims unit, criminal intent, etc.
The original Law and Order goes
like this. A criminal case happens as usual. Unlike other series, it focus on
the interrogation part. After the investigation, the story continues in the
court. The debate between the prosecutor and the suspect’s lawyer begins. In
the end, the episode ends in the judgment by the judge.
In the other series of the Law
and Order franchise, each series has its own characteristic. For example, the
UK has another law system which differs from the US, so there are a lot fun to
compare two series. The special victims unit focus on the victims who are the
girls being raped or children being domestic violated.
I like the debate between the prosecutor and the lawyer. Both of
them have their own strategy. The defense and the offense between them is the
most charming part to me.

回覆刪除Oh, I think Law and Order is the saddest TV series I have ever seen.ˊˋ We know who the bad guy is, but sometimes we just cannot put them behind the bars, there are lawyers, lack of evidence, so many things that could reverse the results. Sadly enough, that's the case in reality, nothing is ever fair, and things sometimes just don't go in our way.
